Holland America Line unveils its newest cruise holidays

New 2010/11 cruise brochure features cruises on ms Nieuw Amsterdam

Holland America Line has released its 2010/11 cruise holidays brochure, featuring cruises to Alaska, Asia, Australia and New Zealand, the South Pacific, North America, the Caribbean, Europe and South America. The brochure has been designed with Australian cruisers in mind and offers plenty of itineraries ex-Australia and is priced in local currency. These brochures will be widely distributed by Holland America Line’s Australian representative, Travel the World.

On 3 April 2011, ms Nieuw Amsterdam will return to Europe for its summer Mediterranean season with a 15-night Transatlantic cruise from Fort Lauderdale to Barcelona. Offering plenty of sea days for guests to relax and enjoy, the cruise will also call into exciting sun-drenched ports, including Madeira, Portugal; Gibraltar, British Territory; Cadiz (Seville), Cartagena and Valencia, Spain. This cruise is priced from AU$1,961* per person twin share.

To fully experience the wild beauty of Alaska, you need to see it from the sea, and then venture deep into the wilderness. Holland America Line’s fantastic CruiseTours make exploration of this glorious region effortless. Step off your elegant ship and onto a luxury railcar, coach or motor vessel and head inland where you will find national parks, gold-rush sites and wonderful wildlife. The 13-day Denali Northbound CruiseTour departs 15 May 2011 and prices start from AU$2,209* per person twin share and include all meals, entertainment and activities while cruising.

If cruising close to home is more your style for 2011, Holland America Line will deploy ms Volendam and ms Zaandam in Australia, New Zealand, Asia and the South Pacific in 2011–12, marking the first time the line will have two ships sailing itineraries in the region simultaneously. The 14-night Australia & New Zealand cruise from Sydney to Auckland departs Sydney on 13 February 2011. The cruise-only price starts at AU$2,511* per person twin share. Packages start at AU$3,029 per person and include flights from Auckland back to Australia, as well as one night’s accommodation at the Hyatt Regency Auckland; transfers from the hotel to Auckland airport; all meals, entertainment and activities whilst cruising; cruise NDAs and taxes as well as pre-paid air taxes/fuel surcharges.

From April 2011, ms Nieuw Amsterdam will sail a number of popular itineraries in the Mediterranean, including the 12-night Mediterranean Empires cruise on ms Nieuw Amsterdam which sails from Venice roundtrip. Discover ancient empires, shop for treasures and indulge in delicious food and wine in the ports of Split, Croatia; Piraeus (Athens), Mykonos, Santorini and Katakalon (Olympia), Greece; Istanbul and Kuşadası (Ephesus), Turkey. This cruise is priced from AU$2,424* per person twin share. Departures are available on 30 April; 22 May; 28 July; 9 September and 15 October 2011.
