Delight your senses with an eye-opening trip to the spectacular 'Land of the Rising Sun'. Arrive in the eclectic capital city of Tokyo for 3 days of cultural immersion. Visit Hama-Rikyu Teien, the former private garden of an Edo period lord, attend a tea ceremony and take a boat cruise along the Sumida River. Visit Tokyo's old town then continue onto Omotesando to enjoy the high end fashion district. There is also a 'free' day in Tokyo for you to explore at your own pace. Leaving Tokyo behind, you make your way to Hakone, the gateway to Mt Fuji and Fuji Hakone National Park. Stay in a traditional ryokan accommodation and savor the delights of classic Japanese cuisine with a multi course kaiseki meal. After exploring the former imperial capital of Kyoto for two days, it's a short trip to Nara, another former capital and home to the world's largest wooden building. There is also time to wander through Nara Park and see the large population of local deer that roam free. The final day is at your leisure until departure prior to your flight back to Australia. *Conditions apply. Please note that prices do not include international airfares from Australia. |
